Karyn Ho

Vice Principal

Karyn Ho graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Simon Fraser University in Canada. She has been with Story Jungle since 2013 and has been teaching, designing curriculum and overseeing onsite operations. Throughout her time at Story Jungle, she has gained a wealth of experience in teaching kindergarteners to secondary school students. Karyn has participated in numerous programmes with schools in Hong Kong and is in charge of designing curriculum for a number of TWGHs schools. She understands how the local school system may greatly hinder a student’s ability to express themselves creatively, and that providing a platform for them to do so can benefit them intellectually and academically. She specialises in teaching phonics, grammar, HKDSE, creative writing, and speech training.

Karyn’s all-time-favourite novel is Charlie and the Chocolate Factory by British writer, Roald Dahl. First introduced to the book in primary school when studying in Canada, she was amazed by how words can transport a person into a world where anything is possible.  Miss Karyn believes that reading not only broadens a reader’s vocabulary base and knowledge, but most importantly, reading also opens up a world of incredible imagination to students.
